Our History

Since 1998, Watson Funeral Home has been offering full service funerals and attending to the needs of our community with compassion, care, and efficiency. 

Our family-owned business prides itself on growing with the families it serves and having deep roots in the community.

Embracing both traditional values and diversity in honoring the individual spirit, Watson Funeral Home offers a full line of Funeral, Cremation, and Celebrant Services including Special Arrangements.

  • James Clayton Watson

    James Clayton Watson, Owner/Funeral Director

    James "Clay" Watson was born in Graham, Florida and graduated from Bradford County High School in 1978. He went on to obtain an associates in criminal justice in 1981. Clay later attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service graduating with an associate of science in 1993. He is the owner of Watson Funeral Home and also a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Clay is a part of many organizations. He is a member of Independent Funeral Directors of Florida, Free and accepted Masons, Lawtey York Rites, Morocco Temple Jacksonville, Starke Shrine Club, Suwannee River Shrine Club, Trenton High School Quarterback Club, Bell High School Quarterback Club, and a lifetime member of Florida Sherriff's Association Boys Ranch.

    Clay currently resides in Trenton, Florida with his wife Victoria Hazen Watson.
