George C Pleus

George C. Pleus, age 72, of Trenton, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Shands UF in Gainesville, FL. He was born to George and Ruth Pleus on August 1, 1945 in Tampa, FL and had been a resident of Trenton since moving from Lutz, FL two years ago. Mr. Pleus proudly served his country in the US Navy. He retired as a Metal Fabrication Designer and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Linda Watson Pleus of Trenton; daughter, Heather Pleus of Dade City, FL; step-daughter, Athena (Marshal) Rodriguez-Hurd of Boston, MA and step-sons, Ian Rodriguez of Port St. Lucie, FL and Erik (Jamie) Rodriguez of Boulder, MT; sisters, April (Herman) Haney and Rosie (Dan) Donaldson and brothers, Gene (Josh) Pleus and David (Barbie) Pleus; all of Lutz, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas Cruz, Boomer Newton and Alexandria Hurd and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Pleus will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Burner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
